"First Officer Spock has described the area as a series of minor astronomical anomalies. Stress on the ship's hull is minimal and presents no apparent threat to it or the crew. We'll maintain position as we catalog, observe, and attempt to explain what we've encountered. Further information forthcoming. Kirk out."

He pushed a button at his desk, terminating the official ship's log. He thought briefly about checking in with Spock but knew his friend would be neck deep in computer analysis. Instead he decided to sit in the relative peace and quiet and review what was already available.

The ship, itself, should've alerted them. Would've alerted them had it been that the woman walking aboard the Enterprise was the ship. Though no one truly knew that nor would they unless she allowed them that knowledge. However, she does stop not far from the Captain's quarters and cants her head a bit. She could feel Jim in there, feel the rest of the crew and the hectic array throughout the ship. It was actually starting to make her a bit sick, but she dealt with it. She did every day.

He almost runs right into her coming out of his quarters.

"Excuse me, crewman. I-"

He stops abruptly, no recognition on his face.

"It's okay, Jim."

The smile she gives him lights up those old eyes.

She is quite possibly the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Her eyes are both enchanting and somehow familiar. A part of him believes for brief moment that they've met. But surely he would have remembered. How could someone forget a woman like this?

"You have me at a disadvantage, Miss..."

Not if the woman before him never had a body before. However, she just keeps that smile, watching him.

"I don't truly have a name. Though Scotty is fond of calling me Lady Enterprise."

His expression changes to one of dubiousness. "Is that some kind of joke? How did you get on my ship?"

"I've always been here, Jim." She states giving him a slight frown, old eyes staring at the captain rather intently.

"I would remember if that were true." He's absolutely adamant.

"No you wouldn't. Not when I didn't always have a body."

This would certainly explain the feelings of familiarity. His beloved ship. The 'she' to whom he has devoted his life. "You think... you're the embodiment of the Enterprise?"

She gives a small smile and shakes her head a bit, "I don't think I am. I am the ship."

He regards her for a good, long minute. "How did this-"

"That I could not tell you. Perhaps it is something we went through." She says canting her head a bit.

"Ceti Eridan," he prompts.

They passed closer to the corona of the star than they had originally intended while observing the solar flares. That amount of energy bombarding the ship could have had any number of effects still yet unknown to them.

CeCe canted her head a bit, watching him before giving a slight nod. Ceti Eridan could've easily been where it all happened but somehow she doubted it. Then again, she didn't know how all of this had happened.

"You're still having a hard time believe it."

"Consider it from my point of view," he insists.

"I have never tried to consider something from another point of view as I've never had a way to before."
